Your future plans
At Group Regulatory Affairs, we see ourselves as the think tank for the regulatory framework of the transformation of the energy market towards «net zero» and the business resulting for RWE. We are looking for you as a senior manager to support us in particular with the resulting regulatory infrastructure issues relating to electricity, gas, carbon and hydrogen. The focus of your work will include the following questions: What is the adequate regulatory framework for investments required for the transformation of the energy system? How can the regulation of the energy infrastructure facilitate investments?
Responsibility for the analysis, conception, internal coordination and communication of regulatory topics relating to the energy sector with a focus on electricity, gas, H2 and CO2 networks
Reporting of results and solutions to the Executive Board
Analysis of regulatory proposals by governments, think tanks and network development plans (German and European perspective)
Group-wide reconciliation of positions and consultations
Designing regulatory and market design proposals
International stakeholder management (e.g. think tanks, transmission system operators or regulators)
Your powerful skills
Business, science or engineering degree
Several years of professional experience and profound knowledge of grid and regulatory issues at transmission system operators, energy associations, regulators or think tanks
Knowledge of grid topics and profound understanding of energy markets
Ability to develop creative solutions to regulatory challenges (e.g. market design) and to present complex issues in a way that is appropriate for the target audience, including top management level
Experience in interdisciplinary and international cooperation with various stakeholders
Business fluency in German and English
