Job purpose/role
Allianz Investment Management in Stuttgart is responsible for developing and implementing the investment strategy of the portfolios of the German Allianz Life and Health insurance companies with approx. EUR 350bn AuM. We cooperate closely with our colleagues within the global AIM network as well as our internal and external asset managers in developing our market views and the current tactical asset allocation.

Being part of the Portfolio Management Team you will directly impact the investment performance as well as the risk and financial KPIs of the market leading life insurance business of Allianz in Germany. Your focus will be on traded asset classes, in particular equities. Further, you will participate in the development of our new state-of-the-art analytics platform for investment steering and apply your portfolio modelling skills. Key responsibilities
Contribute to steering our investment portfolios and to developing AIM’s investment strategy based on fundamental market analysis. The position has a focus on traded equity mandates and derivatives overlay strategies

Monitor, analyze and challenge asset managers and their portfolio investments. Define investment guidelines and targets

Select and review asset managers in cooperation with our Asset Manager Management team

Shape and implement our Allianz ESG and decarbonisation framework

Engage in the Allianz Investment community, exchange knowledge and work on joint projects across hubs and teams

Key requirements/skills/ experience

Master degree in economics or business, (financial) mathematics, financial engineering or other quantitative areas. PhD or CFA is a plus. Ideally already 3-5 years of work experience

Good understanding of capital markets, their macro economic drivers and willingness to learn

Strong interest in data analytics and portfolio modelling

Team player, ready to take over responsibility and getting-things-done mentality

Fluency in English and preferably German
